Several area Visitors Centers will give you all of the information you'll need for a great visit to this unique national park.

Within the Park you will enjoy numerous vista points such as, Clingmans Dome which is the Parks highest peak soaring to 6,643 feet offering panoramic views looking out onto North Carolina to the east and Tennessee to the west.  Park visitors enjoy an abundance of hiking trails from black top paths to more challenging paths for the hiking enthusiast.  Which ever category you fall into the views are breathtaking and unmatched.

Within close proximity to the Park are the Gateway towns of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg offering the visitor some of the South’s finest dining, entertainment, and shopping that you will find in the Southeast. Such attractions include Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, Dollywood, Dixie Stampede and more.

General Park Information:

Operating Times

The park is open year round. Sugarlands  Visitors Center and Oconaluftee Visitors Center are open all year, excluding Christmas Day. Operating hours for the Cades Cove Visitors Center are limited during winter.
